Steve Messere and Joe Messere teamed up to purchase Cville Classic Cars in 2023. The brothers bought the business from Bill Hall, who opened as a one-man shop in 2009.
Steve was previously the shop manager for Cville Classic Cars for over a year and a mechanic in the shop for Bill since 2018. Before that, he spent the rest of his career in the new car dealership world. Having graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with a degree in Automotive Mechanics, this is the career path he has always planned towards. Steven is a third generation mechanic, as his father and grandfather owned multiple Gulf and Citgo stations, along with Jacks Auto Service and Jacks Towing Service located in Richmond, VA throughout the 80’s and early 90’s. Steve came along after they had gotten out of the car business but always had an interest in cars that has stuck until this day.
Joe is a United States Merchant Marine Academy graduate, having worked in multiple industries throughout the years and is currently a Project Manager for a large heavy civil construction firm. Joe has served our nation through both military and non-profit service for which we humbly thank him. Joe will remain at his full time job while giving full support to the shop and its staff and customers. He comes with a wealth of knowledge from other ventures and we are glad to have him and what he brings to the table.
Joe and Steve would like to recognize the current team at Cville Classic Cars for being the hard working, diligent and talented craftsmen they are and for their unwavering support and excitement for the future of the shop during the transition. We would also like to thank Bill Hall, for building such a tremendous business, and trusting us with the opportunity to oversee it for the future. Finally, we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for our customers, so with that we say thank you! We appreciate all of the restorations we’ve been honored to perform, the backlog of work we have that continues to grow and all of the upcoming jobs for years to come! We wouldn’t be where we are without our customers.
